# Conductor vs Profound: Plans, Engines, Agents and Fit in 2026

For anyone weighing Conductor vs Profound, the split is an SEO and answer-engine suite against an AI-search platform built around agents. Conductor publishes plan limits for Essentials, Growth and Enterprise but no price. Profound publishes a free trial and a custom Enterprise package, tracks up to nine engines and prices its agents in credits. Neither lists a monthly figure.

This comparison applies the same checks to both vendors, using each vendor's own pricing and product pages as they read on October 22, 2026. It compares public specifications, not performance. [Prime AI Visibility](https://primeaivisibility.com/) publishes this site and competes with both, and appears near the end with its own limits.

## Conductor vs Profound: the short answer

- **Choose Conductor** if AI answers are one channel inside an enterprise search program that also needs keyword, page and technical-site reporting, and you want plan limits on a pricing page.
- **Choose Profound** if AI search is the program, and you want daily tracking, prompt-demand data, AI crawler analytics and agents in one contract.
- **Price:** neither publishes a monthly price. Conductor says it prices by usage, and Profound's Enterprise package is custom.
- **Free start:** Profound's trial is free for seven days on 50 prompts. Conductor's pricing page offers a free trial on Essentials.
- **Scope:** both sell measurement and execution. The question to ask each is who reviews machine-written content before it reaches your site.

## Who are Conductor and Profound?

**Conductor** describes an enterprise AEO and SEO platform made of four connected products: Creator for content, Intelligence for AEO and SEO reporting, Monitoring for site health and AgentStack, with an MCP server, apps and a data API for teams building agents. Its pricing page says it serves enterprise teams at every stage of growth. Our [Cognizo vs Conductor comparison](https://primeaivisibility.com/articles/comparisons/cognizo-vs-conductor) covers it against a focused vendor, and [BrightEdge vs Conductor vs seoClarity](https://primeaivisibility.com/articles/comparisons/brightedge-vs-conductor-vs-seoclarity) covers it beside other suites.

**Profound** describes itself on its pricing page as a platform where an AI Marketer, which it calls a superintelligent teammate, researches, writes and reports. Its platform menu lists Answer Engine Insights, Prompt Volumes, Shopping, Agent Analytics, AI Marketer, Agents and Context Manager. Our [Profound vs Otterly AI comparison](https://primeaivisibility.com/articles/comparisons/profound-vs-otterly-ai-comparison) covers it against a self-serve tool.

## How does Conductor vs Profound compare on plans and price?

| Check | Conductor | Profound |
|---|---|---|
| Published price | Not listed | Not listed |
| Pricing basis | Usage-based | Custom Enterprise |
| Free option | Try for Free | 7-day trial |

Conductor lists three plans by limits. Essentials covers 60 Writing Assistant Drafts a year, 500 keywords, 5 competitors and 3 websites. Growth covers 180 drafts, 2,500 AI search credits a year, 5,000 keywords, 25 competitors and 5 sites. Enterprise lists 600 drafts, 2,500 or more credits, 60,000 or more keywords, 75 or more competitors and 10 or more sites. Its page does not say how many prompt runs one credit buys.

Profound lists two plans. The free Trial runs 50 prompts daily for seven days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, with limited AI Marketer credits, one language, one region and five Prompt Volumes searches. Enterprise is custom, with a tailored prompt plan, AI Marketer credits for the whole team, dedicated support, SSO and SAML and SOC 2 compliance. Profound also lists a self-serve Agency Growth plan with 400 credits a month per client workspace.

"Not listed" means not on the pages checked. Confirm current terms with each vendor.

## Which AI engines does each name?

| Check | Conductor | Profound |
|---|---|---|
| Engines named | 9 in docs | 9 on Enterprise |
| Claude | Listed | Listed |
| Google AI Mode | Listed | Listed |

Conductor's AI Search Performance documentation lists ChatGPT (Auto), ChatGPT (Search), Claude Sonnet, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Grok (Auto), Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity, across more than 160 countries. It lets you choose which engines to track and shows credit-usage forecasts.

Profound's pricing page lists capability for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Anthropic Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search, and says Enterprise includes up to nine. The Trial covers only three. The two lists differ: Conductor names Grok and Profound names DeepSeek and Exa Search. Ask each vendor which engines your plan would include on day one and which need an add-on.

## What data and security does each list?

| Check | Conductor | Profound |
|---|---|---|
| Exports and API | Data API, Enterprise | CSV, JSON, API on Enterprise |
| SSO | Growth and up | Enterprise |
| AI crawler data | Enterprise log files | Agent Analytics |

**Conductor** lists a Data API on Enterprise, an MCP server and LLM apps on every plan, and log file analysis that includes AI crawlers on Enterprise only. Growth adds single sign-on, and Enterprise adds role-based permissions.

**Profound** lists exports in CSV and JSON, an API and all-time history on Enterprise, with none of those on the Trial. Its Agent Analytics tracks AI-sourced traffic and attribution across unlimited domains through Akamai, AWS, Cloudflare, Fastly, Google Analytics, Google Cloud Platform, Netlify, Vercel and WordPress integrations. SSO is Enterprise-only.

Crawler visits and referrals are different signals, so read each vendor's definitions before you compare them. A crawl is access, and a referral is a click.

## How do agents, content and credits differ?

Both products attach execution tools to measurement, and both meter them.

- **Conductor.** Creator's Writing Assistant Drafts are counted per year on each plan, and AEO Agents are described as orchestrating content and technical workflows, including a prioritized queue of content updates, technical monitoring and measurement.
- **Profound.** AI Marketer, Agents, Context Manager, Projects and Profound Sheets are listed as features. Agents are priced on credits that are consumed each time an Agent runs, and its FAQ says more complex agents use more credits.

In our judgement, Profound foregrounds agents as the product, while Conductor presents content and monitoring as modules of a wider search suite. Both leave the same buying question: how many credits or drafts does a year cost, and what happens when they run out? Ask each vendor how a draft is approved before it goes live and whether publishing can be approval-only.

## How should Conductor vs Profound be tested?

A fair test of Conductor vs Profound holds the questions constant.

1. **Write five buyer questions** from sales calls, in their exact words, without your brand name.
2. **Run them yourself** in ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity and save each answer with its links.
3. **Give both vendors the same questions, competitors, region and language.**
4. **Compare answer text, not scores.** Ask to see the saved response and the links shown.
5. **Count the five measures separately.** A mention is a name, a citation is a link, a recommendation is an explicit suggestion, a referral is a click and a conversion is a lead or sale.
6. **Ask what is excluded.** Request the engines in your plan, prompt runs per day, history length and export format.
7. **Recheck on a fixed date** with the same questions, engines and market, or the change is not comparable.

Google's [SEO Starter Guide](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/fundamentals/seo-starter-guide) is the baseline reference for what search-focused work should cover in Google Search, such as descriptive titles and helpful content for people. It does not describe how ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity choose sources, so treat each vendor's AI claims as its own. Our [AI visibility audit process](https://primeaivisibility.com/articles/ai-visibility/how-to-run-an-ai-visibility-audit) covers the baseline step.

## Who does Conductor vs Profound each fit?

| Situation | Better fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| SEO and AEO in one suite | Conductor | Keywords, pages and monitoring |
| AI search as the main program | Profound | Agents and prompt data |
| Wants a free trial first | Either | Both list one |
| Needs plan limits published | Conductor | Limits per plan |
| Needs a few saved answers | A lighter tool | Both are enterprise sales |

This table is not a ranking of Conductor vs Profound. A team that already runs Conductor for SEO has a reason to use its AI module first, and a team whose main job is AI answers may start at Profound. The [buyer guide to choosing tools](https://primeaivisibility.com/articles/ai-visibility/how-to-choose-an-ai-visibility-tool) lists what to ask any vendor, and the [AI visibility strategy](https://primeaivisibility.com/articles/ai-visibility/ai-visibility-strategy) guide shows where the choice fits.

## Where does Prime AI fit?

[Prime AI Visibility](https://primeaivisibility.com/) is an [AI Visibility Platform](https://primeaivisibility.com/) and [AI visibility tracker](https://primeaivisibility.com/) built around saved answers, and it has a commercial relationship with Percepture. It records Brand named, Website cited, Source links and Explicit recommendation as separate facts for ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and an AI Overview-style preview built from Google-grounded answers. The [features page](https://primeaivisibility.com/features) also describes Content Studio, which produces researched, editable content with optional images and export files, and nothing publishes without approval.

The free Flash plan runs five questions across ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity, up to 15 answers, one check a month and no card. Starter is $69 a month for all five engines, and the [pricing page](https://primeaivisibility.com/pricing) lists every plan. Prime AI does not report sentiment, rank, crawler visits or traffic, has no managed service and does not track Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI or Google AI Mode.

A free [AI visibility checker](https://primeaivisibility.com/) run on five buyer questions gives you a baseline to bring to a Conductor vs Profound demo. A smaller team comparing an [AI Search Visibility Platform](https://primeaivisibility.com/) with an enterprise suite can use an [AI Brand Visibility Tool](https://primeaivisibility.com/) that saves answers for the measurement job and keep the suite budget for the work that needs it.

## When is the next job implementation?

A suite or an agent platform shows where a brand is absent. Fixing it usually means pages, sources and listings. Percepture offers [generative engine optimization services](https://percepture.com/services/geo-services/) for hands-on work and is a services firm, not a tracker, so it pairs with a tool.

Its [homepage](https://mymilitarylifestyle.com/) leads to a dedicated [military resources page](https://mymilitarylifestyle.com/military-resources). This is an illustrative page-structure comparison, not a result for any vendor in this article. A named page for each subject gives a reader, and an answer, one place to look for each question.
