Cognizo vs Conductor: Plans, Engines, Data and Fit in 2026

For anyone weighing Cognizo vs Conductor, the main split is a focused answer-engine program against an enterprise search suite. Cognizo starts at $499 a month through a sales demo, tracks 150 prompts on five engines you choose and includes a content agent that publishes articles. Conductor sells Essentials, Growth and Enterprise plans for SEO and AEO together, with a three-week free trial, annual AI search credits, 24/7 website monitoring and its own writing assistant, and it publishes no prices.
This comparison uses each company's pricing, product and documentation pages as they read on October 17, 2026. It compares public specifications and is not a hands-on test of either product. Where we add professional judgement, we say so. Prime AI Visibility publishes this site, competes with both, and appears later with its own limits.
Cognizo vs Conductor: the short answer
- Choose Cognizo if answer-engine work is the whole job and you want published monthly prices, a content agent that writes and publishes, crawler and referral data and a customer success partner from the first plan.
- Choose Conductor if AI answers are one part of an enterprise search program that also needs keyword and page reporting, technical monitoring and governance, and you can buy through a sales process.
- Engines: Conductor's documentation lists nine, including Claude, Google AI Mode and Grok. Cognizo's Growth and Pro plans choose five of six; Claude and AI Mode appear only on Enterprise.
- Price: Cognizo publishes $499 and $999 a month. Conductor publishes plan limits but no figure, and says it prices by usage.
- Our judgement: the products overlap on answer tracking and content, and differ in scope. Conductor measures more of the website; Cognizo spends more of its plan on producing answer-targeted content.
Who the two companies are
Cognizo describes itself as an answer engine optimization (AEO) platform with visibility tracking, prompt volumes, AI traffic analytics, an ad library and a content agent. It also runs an agency partner program.
Conductor describes itself as a technology company whose software and services help marketers create and optimize content so it gets found. Its platform page calls it an enterprise AEO platform with four connected products: Conductor Creator for content, Conductor Intelligence for AEO and SEO reporting, Conductor Monitoring for site health, and Conductor AgentStack for agents, an MCP server and a data API. Its pricing page says it works with "hundreds of leading enterprises" and is aimed at enterprise teams "at every stage of growth".

Cognizo vs Conductor on the same checks
Each row applies the same check to both vendors, using each vendor's own pages.

| Articles | 8 / 20 per mo | 60+ drafts/yr |
| Site monitoring | Audits | 24/7 |
| MCP server | All plans | All plans |
Notes: Cognizo's Growth and Pro plans choose five of ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Grok. Conductor's list is from its documentation; the pricing page does not say which engines each plan includes. Conductor's drafts are "Writing Assistant Drafts" at 60, 180 and 600 a year on its three plans. Conductor lists its MCP server on all three plans and its Data API as included on Enterprise.
Methodology note: every cell reports what a vendor publishes, not measured accuracy or outcomes. A blank or "Not shown" means the vendor's page did not state it, which is not the same as "no".
What Cognizo's plans include
Cognizo's pricing page lists three plans. Growth is $499 a month and Pro is $999, both with a content agent that auto-publishes, tracking for five platforms, MCP and API access and a customer success partner. Enterprise is custom, with all platforms, multiple brands, a dedicated AI search strategist and SSO.
| Item | Growth | Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $499/mo | $999/mo |
| Articles | 8 / mo | 20 / mo |
| Prompts | 150 | 350 |
| Responses | 22,500 / mo | 52,500 / mo |
| Strategy review | Quarterly | Monthly |
Beyond tracking, the pages list prompt volumes and keyword research, source and page-type classification, a YouTube and Reddit breakdown, sentiment analysis, crawler analytics and AI referral traffic for one domain, and exports and reports. Regions, languages, competitors and seats are listed as unlimited.
What Conductor's plans include
Conductor's pricing page describes three plans by their limits. Essentials is for smaller teams, Growth for scaling teams that integrate and automate workflows, and Enterprise for global organizations that need governance.
| Item | Essentials | Growth |
|---|---|---|
| Drafts | 60 / yr | 180 / yr |
| AI credits | 2,500 / yr | 2,500 / yr |
| Pages analysed | 1,000 | 25,000 |
| Keywords | 500 | 5,000 |
| Competitors | 5 | 25 |
| Sites monitored | 3 | 5 |
Enterprise is custom, with more than 125,000 pages analysed, 60,000 keywords, 75 competitors, role-based permissions and log file analysis that includes AI crawlers. Essentials and Growth list Google Analytics and Search Console integrations, and Growth adds Adobe Analytics and single sign-on. The pricing page does not say how many prompts one AI search credit buys, so ask before you compare Conductor's credits with Cognizo's 150 and 350 prompts.
Engines and how each tracks them
Conductor's AI Search Performance documentation lists nine engines: ChatGPT (Auto), ChatGPT (Search), Claude Sonnet, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Grok (Auto), Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity, across more than 160 countries. It lets you choose which engines to track, shows credit-usage forecasts and tracks by topic, persona and search intent, with daily and weekly tracking. Its best-practice guide suggests spending most credits on ChatGPT, an example of how credits steer coverage.
Cognizo's pricing table lists six platforms for Growth and Pro and up to ten on Enterprise, adding Google AI Mode, Meta AI, Claude and DeepSeek. Its FAQ says it runs prompts continuously and tracks citations, sentiment and rankings, without stating whether it reads each platform's public website or an API. Its FAQ also lists Claude among trackable platforms, while its pricing table puts Claude on Enterprise, so confirm engines by plan in writing.
Plan arithmetic
Cognizo states its response volumes, and they check out: 150 prompts × 5 platforms × 30 days = 22,500 responses a month on Growth, and 350 × 5 × 30 = 52,500 on Pro. That makes cost per response easy to compute: $499 ÷ 22,500 is about 2.2 cents, and $999 ÷ 52,500 is about 1.9 cents, if every prompt runs on every platform every day.
Conductor does not publish a price or the prompts per credit, so the same arithmetic is not possible from its public pages. In our judgement, that is the first question for a Conductor sales call: how many answers does a year of credits buy on the engines I need, and what does it cost?
Content and agents
Cognizo's content agent writes, schedules and publishes articles, and the plans list on-page and off-page actions, outreach targets, content refreshes and technical site audits. Its FAQ says its agents guide content creation, social media, affiliate work and PR.
Conductor's AEO Agents are described as orchestrating content and technical workflows: a prioritized queue of content updates and net-new content, technical monitoring and issue resolution, and measurement. Its AgentStack adds official apps for ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot, an MCP server and a data API for teams building their own agents. In our judgement, both sell execution, and the question is who reviews the output. Ask each vendor how a draft is approved before it reaches your site.
Mention, citation, recommendation, referral and conversion
Keep five signals separate whichever you pick.
- Mention. An answer names your brand.
- Citation. An answer links to a page you own.
- Recommendation. An answer suggests you for the buyer's need.
- Referral. A visitor arrives from an AI tool. Cognizo lists AI referral traffic and Conductor lists Google Analytics integration, so check which one carries AI-source data.
- Conversion. The visit becomes a lead or sale, measured in your CRM.
The metrics page defines each measure used on this site.
Who each one fits
Cognizo fits growth and content teams, and agencies, that want a published price, answer tracking and an agent that publishes content in one plan. Limitation: Growth and Pro choose five of six engines, Claude and AI Mode need Enterprise, and its pages describe a program that includes publishing, which a team with its own editorial review may not want.
Conductor fits enterprise teams that treat AI answers as one channel inside a broader SEO program with keywords, pages, technical monitoring and governance. Limitation: no price is published, credits and prompts are not mapped, and a team that only needs answer tracking may pay for a suite it does not use.
Neither fits well when you need a small, published monthly price or a team that reruns the same questions weekly without a vendor. For a wider shortlist, see our comparison of monitoring options for B2B companies. Our advice on how to choose between monitoring products explains the criteria.
A one-week test plan for either vendor
- Write 15 brand-free questions from sales calls and search terms. Freeze the wording.
- Save a baseline first. Run the same questions yourself and keep the answers with their links.
- Give both vendors the same questions, competitors and regions.
- List the engines each output actually covers, and which your buyers use.
- Open ten answers. Check that the full text, names and exact URLs are visible, not only a score.
- Compare with the baseline. Answers vary run to run, so small differences are normal. Large, consistent gaps deserve a question.
- Ask the closing questions: what is exportable, who approves published content, what does year two cost, and what survives if you stop?
Where Prime AI fits, and where it does not
Affiliation: Prime AI Visibility is our own product. It fits this comparison as a low-cost way to hold both vendors against saved answers of your own.
The product's features save each answer with the names mentioned and the links shown across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and an AI Overview-style preview built from Google-grounded answers, which is not a capture of the live AI Overview panel. You write the questions. Flash is free: five questions across ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity, up to 15 answers a month, no card. Starter at $69 a month covers all five.
Limitations: Prime AI Visibility does not track Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI or Google AI Mode. It does not report sentiment or rank, and it does not record crawler visits, traffic or conversions. It does not monitor your website's technical health, and it does not publish content for you. It does not grade whether a fact is correct. Checks run monthly by default, with weekly, temporary daily and on-demand checks on paid plans. PyraBuilds' Prime AI agent profile describes the product in Pyra's agent catalogue.
When the next job is implementation
A dashboard or a program shows where a brand stands. Technical fixes, page changes and earned coverage are still work for people. Percepture, founded in 2004 and Inc. 5000-recognized, offers generative engine optimization services and enterprise SEO services that combine SEO, GEO and digital PR. Fit: a team that wants search, answer-engine and earned-media work planned together. Limitation: Percepture is a services firm, not a monitoring product, so it pairs with software rather than replacing it. Prime AI Visibility has a commercial relationship with Percepture.
Teams that want repeatable workflows outside a dashboard can also look at Pyra's AI agents for marketing and sales, which include human-approved content operations agents. Pyra is also commercially connected to Prime AI Visibility.
