Demand-Genius AEO Platform: What It Is, How It Is Sold and Who It Fits

The Demand-Genius AEO platform is software for B2B brands that tracks how Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity describe a company to different buyers, scores a company's content library and links the results to pipeline. On its own pages, the vendor says it no longer sells the platform alone: it is delivered inside a managed engagement, with a quote on request.

This comparison covers public specifications, not measured performance. Details come from Demand-Genius's own platform, brands, agencies and pricing pages as published in October 2026, and opinion is labelled as judgement. Prime AI Visibility publishes this site, is evaluated beside Demand-Genius on the same criteria, and appears later with its own limits.

Demand-Genius AEO platform: the short answer

  • What it measures: how four named engines present a brand to each member of a buying committee, grouped by buyer intent, with sentiment, custom entities and competitor comparison.
  • What else it does: it scores a company's own content library on five criteria and connects AI influence to pipeline through CRM integrations.
  • How it is sold: as a managed service for brands, and as a white-label platform or an embedded team for agencies. Its pricing page publishes no price and invites a call.
  • Best fit, in our judgement: B2B companies with long, multi-person buying cycles that want specialists to run the program, and agencies that want a platform to resell.
  • Poor fit, by its own account: low-consideration categories and teams that want a self-serve login. The vendor's platform page says both.

What Demand-Genius is

Demand-Genius describes itself on its homepage as "the GEO specialists for B2B" and on its platform page as "the AEO platform for B2B brands". Here AEO means answer engine optimization, and GEO means generative engine optimization; the two labels cover the same work. The company publishes original research on how AI tools recommend B2B vendors, and its product is built on that research.

The platform page groups the product into three parts.

  1. AI Search Intelligence. Tracking of how the models present a brand's strengths, weaknesses and trade-offs to each stakeholder across the buying journey.
  2. Content Intelligence. A structured, queryable database of every published page, scored so a team's own AI tools can work from the whole library.
  3. Revenue Performance. CRM integrations meant to tie AI influence to pipeline and revenue instead of visibility scores alone.

As a category, it overlaps with an AI visibility tool: software that asks AI assistants a fixed set of questions and records what they say about brands. It adds content scoring and a services layer that most trackers do not. Our guide to what a monitoring product is explains the category.

Features, from its own pages

Feature What the page says
Segment tracking Simulates your ICP's context
Stakeholder mapping Views per buyer role
Intent clustering Groups prompts by intent
Sentiment Sentiment analysis listed
Custom entities Tracks named entities
Content scoring Five criteria per page
Pipeline link CRM integrations
  • Segment-level measurement. You configure one or more ideal customer profiles, with verticals, firmographics and the buying committee. The platform then simulates those buyers' context in AI tools, instead of the average user's.
  • Stakeholder mapping. The page contrasts a CFO and a VP of marketing, who weigh different criteria, and reports how the models present the brand to each.
  • Content Intelligence. Pages are scored on differentiation, quality, extractability, citability and currency. The vendor says this makes up to 42 times more of a library available as context for AI strategy work.
  • Revenue Performance. CRM integrations are meant to let a team plan around pipeline impact instead of vanity metrics.

The platform page also lists what the product is not. It says it is not a citation tracker, not a rebranded SEO tool, not a content generator, not a self-serve tool and not for low-consideration categories.

The "dark AI" claim, and how to read it

Demand-Genius's pages say that just 16 percent of AI responses in B2B journeys cite a brand directly, and that the other 84 percent, which it calls "Dark AI" conversations, shape buyer thinking without a brand being cited. The figure comes from the vendor's own research, so treat it as the vendor's claim.

Even so, the logic is sound for any tool. A report that counts only citations will miss answers that describe your category and name your rivals without linking anyone. That is why we keep mention, citation and recommendation as three separate measures; our AI search visibility guide defines each.

Pricing and how it is sold

Demand-Genius's pricing page is short. It says the company no longer sells the platform on its own, because clients need help to get the most from it, and it asks for a call for a quote and a free consultation. No plan, price or credit unit is published.

  • For brands: a managed service inside an engagement. The company configures the platform, builds the strategy and supports the team. Its brands page describes a first-month audit covering tracking set-up, an AI audit by stakeholder, a content audit and a roadmap. From the second month it describes ongoing monitoring, monthly support and on-demand execution through partners it manages.
  • For agencies: two routes. One is a white-label platform that the agency's team operates across its clients, with onboarding, training and Slack support. The other is an embedded GEO team, described as limited capacity and charged as a retainer plus a success fee.

Because no price is published, this page does not estimate one. Ask for a written scope that states what is included, how long the first phase runs and who keeps the data if you stop. Our guide to choosing between trackers lists the same questions for any vendor.

Case studies the vendor publishes

Two case studies appear on its pages, and both are the vendor's own reports. In the first, the payments company myPOS is described as scoring about 4,000 pieces of content to produce a roadmap in which each piece gets a keep, improve, refresh or review recommendation. In the second, the agency Bert PR is described as using a content audit in a pitch and winning a six-figure engagement.

Neither describes a measured change in AI answers. They show what the product is used for, not what it will do for you, so we treat them as examples of method. As with any vendor, ask to see saved answers from a comparable client.

Demand-Genius and Prime AI on the same criteria

The matrix uses the same criterion for both products in each row, drawn from each company's own public pages as published in October 2026.

Criterion Demand Genius Prime AI
Buyer B2B brands, agencies Any team
Entry price Not published $69/month
Free option Free consultation Flash, monthly
Self-serve No Yes
Engines Four named Five
Content scoring Yes No
CRM link Yes No
Sentiment Listed No

Notes on the matrix: Prime AI Visibility's five tools are ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and an AI Overview-style preview built from Google-grounded answers; Flash covers ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity only. Demand-Genius names Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity on its platform page. "Not published" means its public pages list no price, not that none exists.

Methodology note: both columns describe what each vendor publishes, not measured accuracy, answer quality or customer results. A cell reading "No" or "Not published" means the public pages do not list the feature, and the vendor can correct us.

Who each option fits

Demand-Genius fits a B2B company with a long buying cycle and several decision makers, a large content library and a budget for a managed engagement. It also fits an agency that wants a platform to pitch and deliver GEO. In our judgement, its content scoring is the feature to test hardest, because it is the part most trackers lack.

Demand-Genius may not fit a team that wants to sign up, run a handful of questions and read the answers the same day. By the vendor's own description, it is not self-serve. It also may not fit a business with a short, low-consideration sale, where the vendor itself says the platform is more than needed.

Prime AI Visibility fits a team that wants to write its own questions, run them across five tools and read every saved answer with its links, at a published price. It does not replace a managed service, a content audit or a CRM link.

A stakeholder question grid for any tool

This is our own test, which works in a spreadsheet or any product. It borrows Demand-Genius's idea that different buyers ask different things, and it keeps the test fair across vendors.

  1. Pick four roles. For example a finance lead, a technical lead, a marketing lead and an end user.
  2. Pick three stages. Learning about the category, comparing vendors and checking a shortlist.
  3. Write one question per cell. Four roles by three stages gives 12 questions. Write each in the words that role would use, with no brand name in the learning stage.
  4. Run all 12 in each engine. Save the full answer, the date, the brands named and the links shown.
  5. Classify each answer. Record mention, citation and recommendation separately, then note whether the answer's framing differs by role.

A grid like this shows whether an answer changes with the asker, which is the question Demand-Genius's segment tracking is built around. On Prime AI's Starter plan, 12 questions across all five tools use 12 × 10 = 120 of the 200 credits, with credit costs of 1 for ChatGPT, 2 for Perplexity, 3 for Claude, 2 for Gemini and 2 for the AI Overview-style preview. Credits are shared, so this is plan arithmetic, not a guaranteed capacity. See our AI visibility audit for turning the results into a fix list.

Track five signals separately

Whichever product you use, keep five signals apart.

  1. Mention. An answer names your brand.
  2. Citation. An answer links to a page you own.
  3. Recommendation. An answer puts you forward for the buyer's need.
  4. Referral. A visitor arrives from an AI tool, read in your analytics.
  5. Conversion. The visit becomes a lead or sale, read in your CRM.

The metrics page defines each measure used on this site. A tool's CRM integration can help with the last two, but only your own records settle them.

Where Prime AI fits, and where it does not

Affiliation: Prime AI Visibility is our own product. It is self-serve software: you write the buyer questions, each check runs across the engines above, and every answer is saved with the names mentioned and the links shown. Checks are monthly by default, with weekly, temporary daily and on-demand checks on paid plans. The features page lists the rest, and PyraBuilds' Prime AI agent profile describes the product in Pyra's agent catalogue.

Limitations: it does not score a content library, link results to a CRM or revenue, report sentiment or rank, record crawler visits or traffic, or grade whether a fact is correct. It does not offer a managed service. It does not track Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI or Google AI Mode.

When you need people to do the work

A platform shows the gaps; someone still has to close them. For other shortlists, see our guide to AI visibility tools for B2B companies.

Percepture, founded in 2004 and Inc. 5000-recognized, offers generative engine optimization services alongside SEO, digital PR and PR. Fit: a company that wants one team across pages, coverage and measurement. Limitation: it is a services firm, not a monitoring product, and its fees are not published here, so request a written scope. Prime AI Visibility has a commercial relationship with Percepture.

Teams with a steady content workload can also look at Pyra's AI agents for marketing and sales, which include human-approved content operations agents. They are one implementation option, and Pyra is commercially connected to Prime AI Visibility.
