If you searched "profound vs evertune ai for geo", here is the summary. Both platforms ground their prompts in consumer panel data and both run agents, but they measure AI answers differently. Profound captures the live consumer apps daily on up to nine engines. Evertune samples each prompt up to 100 times per model and adds direct API measurement of base models. Evertune lists a $800-a-month Pro plan; Profound sells a free trial and custom Enterprise.

This comparison uses each company's pricing, product, methodology and help pages, plus the comparison page each publishes about the other, with prices and features as published in October 2026. Prime AI Visibility publishes this site, competes with both, and appears later with its own limitations.

Profound vs Evertune AI for GEO: the short answer

  • Choose Profound if you want daily tracking of what buyers see in live AI apps on up to nine engines, AI crawler and referral analytics, agents that propose and carry out work, and SOC 2 Type II today.
  • Choose Evertune if you want large repeated samples per prompt, a read on what models know before they search, automatic tracking of every brand in your category, and paid activation through ChatGPT ads, retargeting and affiliate partners, at a published Pro price.
  • On the GEO label: Evertune calls itself a generative engine optimization (GEO) platform. Profound uses answer engine optimization (AEO) and now calls itself an agentic marketing platform. Both labels cover the same work: earning mentions, citations and recommendations in AI answers.
  • On data: both start from consumer panels, and both vendors describe their panels with very large numbers. Treat each as a modelled estimate.
  • On vendor comparisons: each company publishes a comparison page about the other. Several claims hold up; a few do not match the rival's own pages.

Who the two companies are

Profound. Profound was founded in August 2024 and is headquartered in New York. In September 2026 it raised a $180 million Series D at a $1.8 billion valuation, co-led by Sequoia Capital and Kleiner Perkins, which the New York Business Journal also reported. It sells Answer Engine Insights, Prompt Volumes, Agent Analytics, Shopping, Agents and an orchestrating agent called AI Marketer, also known as Aim. Our review of Profound's AI visibility products covers each one.

Evertune. Evertune is a New York company founded by Brian Stempeck, Ed Chater and Poul Costinsky, early team members at The Trade Desk, the advertising technology company. It announced a $15 million Series A led by Felicis in August 2025 and says it has raised $19 million in total. Its product covers prompt research and volumes from its EverPanel, AI visibility measurement across what it lists as 11 AI models, Content Studio, an Insights & Action Agent, an Ads Agent for ChatGPT advertising, AI retargeting and Partner Connect for affiliate and ad networks.

Plans, engines and methods on the same checks

The table uses the same check for both vendors in each row, from each vendor's pricing and product pages.

Notes:

  • Profound. The trial runs 50 prompts daily for seven days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, from a recommended prompt set that its pricing FAQ says cannot be customized, with no history, exports or API. Enterprise lists ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search, with SSO/SAML.
  • Evertune Pro lists "100,000 prompts tracked across 11 AI models", daily, weekly or monthly tracking, global language and country tracking, 25 AI-optimized articles a month, three onboarding sessions, affiliate advertising partnerships and AI retargeting. Enterprise is custom-priced and adds a dedicated success manager, unlimited content, AI website optimization, AI bot analytics and SSO.
  • Evertune's switching offer. Its Profound comparison landing page offers a free first month to teams moving from Profound. Its pricing page lists no trial.
  • SOC 2. Evertune's own January 2026 comparison says SOC 2 Type II is "in progress" for Evertune; Profound says it holds SOC 2 Type II. Ask Evertune for its current status.

Ask Evertune what one of its 100,000 "prompts" counts, since it also says it samples each prompt up to 100 times per model. Evertune's pages also describe EverPanel as "over 150 million" conversations from "almost 25 million" users, and its landing page cites "150K+ prompts/month per brand". Profound's pages describe its own dataset as "2B+" in comparisons and "1.5 billion+" on the Prompt Volumes page.

Methodology note: this is a comparison of public specifications, not a measurement of accuracy or results. Where a vendor's pages disagree with each other, we say so rather than choosing the more favourable figure.

How each platform collects AI answers

This is the most important technical difference, and it changes what a visibility score means.

Profound says it captures responses "directly from the consumer experience, not API outputs". That means the answer a buyer sees in the app, with web search, citations and regional differences included.

Evertune measures two layers. Its methodology page says direct API access isolates "the model's foundational knowledge", meaning what the model says before any search, while the live consumer apps show "what AI finds in the moment". Its help centre lists which layer it uses for each engine:

  • Both layers: ChatGPT and Gemini.
  • API only: Claude, Meta's Llama and DeepSeek. Evertune says tracking their consumer apps would mean going behind a login, which would breach their terms of service.
  • Consumer app only: Perplexity and Copilot.
  • Google's search features: AI Overviews and AI Mode are tracked separately.

In our judgement, both layers are useful for different questions. A live-app capture tells you what buyers see now, including which pages get cited. A base-model reading changes more slowly, which Evertune presents as a measure of long-term brand building, but it has no citations to act on and is not what a buyer sees in a search-enabled app. For Claude, Meta AI and DeepSeek, Evertune's figures are base-model readings only. When you compare scores between the two vendors, first confirm which layer each number comes from.

Repeat sampling: why Evertune asks each prompt many times

AI answers vary from one run to the next, so a single run can mislead. Evertune makes this its main argument. Its methodology page uses a running-shoe example: asked once, a prompt can show a brand at 100% visibility; asked 100 times, the same prompt settles near 48% with a much smaller margin of error. It argues that sampling many different prompts once each leaves topic-level scores unreliable, and says it samples each prompt up to 100 times per model.

Profound's pages describe daily capture but do not state how many times each prompt is sampled per run.

In our judgement, the statistical point is sound: one answer per prompt is an anecdote, and topic scores built on a few answers can swing widely. The questions to ask are practical. Does repeat sampling apply to the consumer-app layer as well as the API layer? How many samples does your plan include for your prompt count? How does each vendor show variance, so you can tell a real change from noise? Ask Profound the same question about its daily runs.

Prompt data: two panels, both modelled

Both vendors base their prompt research on consumer panels rather than keyword lists.

  • Profound. Its Prompt Volumes page says it licenses conversations from double-opt-in consumer panels, at "hundreds of millions of prompts per month", and applies statistical modelling to scale volumes "to reflect the full population". The trial includes five Prompt Volumes searches; full access is on Enterprise.
  • Evertune. EverPanel is described as "over 150 million real conversations, weighted to reflect the actual composition of the internet". Because Evertune says "over 80% of AI prompts are phrased uniquely", Prompt Volumes reports estimated weekly demand by topic rather than by exact prompt. Its Prompt Agent clusters panel questions into topics and builds a tracking plan from them.

Profound's comparison argues that topic clustering trades detail for coverage and notes that Evertune does not publish EverPanel's country or language mix. Evertune's comparison argues that Profound relies on prompts the customer chooses.

In our judgement, the difference is grain. Profound reports demand at prompt level; Evertune reports it at topic level. Neither figure counts every question asked in AI assistants. B2B teams in narrow categories should ask both vendors how many panel conversations sit behind their topics before trusting a volume.

What each platform measures

Profound. Answer Engine Insights tracks how engines mention, rank and describe a brand, with share of voice, citation sources, sentiment and competitor comparison. Agent Analytics tracks AI crawler visits and AI-referred traffic through integrations with Akamai, AWS, Cloudflare, Fastly, Google Analytics, Google Cloud Platform, Netlify, Vercel and WordPress.

Evertune. Evertune reports an AI Brand Score, which Profound's comparison describes as combining how often a brand appears with where it ranks. Evertune says it tracks every brand that models mention in your category automatically, not only competitors you name. Its Content Analytics scores the influence of source URLs, sorting them into Strength, Opportunity and Owned URLs, and its attribute reports show which qualities models associate with each brand. AI Usage estimates how much your audience uses AI compared with Google and Bing.

The five AI visibility signals

Each signal moves on its own, so it helps to see which product covers which:

  1. Mention (the answer names the brand): both, through visibility scores and share of voice.
  2. Citation (the answer links your site or a source about you): both from live apps. Evertune's base-model readings have no citations.
  3. Recommendation (the answer suggests your brand over others): Profound reports rank and sentiment; Evertune's AI Brand Score, as Profound describes it, includes rank. Neither public page lists a metric that records an explicit recommendation, so read the answer text.
  4. Referral (someone clicks through): Profound's Agent Analytics tracks AI-referred visits. Evertune lists AI bot analytics on Enterprise and argues that most AI influence never appears in referral traffic, which is why it sells AI Usage estimates.
  5. Conversion (the visit becomes a lead or sale): Profound's Agents can pull GA4 conversions and revenue. Evertune's AI retargeting reaches buyers after they leave an AI conversation. Confirm what reaches your CRM either way.

Agents, content and paid activation

Profound. AI Marketer proposes ranked projects, and Agents carry them out. Agent templates cover content refresh, FAQ generation, competitive research and net-new content, with a human approval step before anything publishes. Profound's comparison also says it now covers in-answer advertising through Ads Studio.

Evertune. The Insights & Action Agent diagnoses why scores moved and suggests actions. Content Studio builds content strategies and briefs, scores and optimizes existing pages, and runs a site audit of bot access, HTML quality and extractability. The Ads Agent builds ChatGPT ad campaigns aimed at topics where organic visibility is low, and Partner Connect exports prioritized source lists to partners such as impact.com.

In our judgement, the split follows each company's background. Evertune's founders built advertising technology, and its sharpest tools connect visibility gaps to paid and affiliate activation. Profound's agents aim at organic program work: content, corrections and outreach. A team that already buys media will find more to use in Evertune's activation tools; a team building an organic program may value Profound's agents more.

What each vendor's comparison page says about the other

This is the original analysis in this comparison. Profound publishes "Profound vs Evertune" (dated May 6, 2026), and Evertune publishes a "Feature-by-Feature" comparison (dated January 20, 2026) and an "Evertune vs Profound" landing page. The table checks claims each makes about the rival against the rival's own pages.

Claim Made by Rival's page says
Three engines via API only Profound Matches
No public SOC 2 Profound "In progress"
$20M raised Profound $19M
Bot data on Enterprise Profound Matches
Your own prompts only Evertune Suggested set
No base model access Evertune Matches
~9K responses, standard Evertune No such tier

Notes, row by row:

  • Three engines via API only. Profound says Evertune measures Claude, Meta AI and DeepSeek through the API only. Evertune's help centre says the same and explains why.
  • No public SOC 2. Profound says Evertune does not advertise SOC 2 or equivalent certifications. Evertune's January 2026 comparison says its SOC 2 Type II is in progress.
  • $20M raised. Profound gives Evertune's total funding as $20 million. Evertune's own boilerplate says $19 million, after a $15 million Series A in August 2025.
  • Bot data on Enterprise. Profound says Evertune's Bot Analytics is Enterprise-only. Evertune's pricing lists AI bot analytics under Enterprise.
  • Your own prompts only. Evertune's landing page describes Profound as "BYO prompts only + limited category tracker". Profound's pricing page lists a recommended prompt set on the trial and Prompt Volumes research.
  • No base model access. Evertune says Profound has "No base model access". Profound says it captures the consumer experience, "not API outputs", so both describe the same design choice.
  • ~9K responses, standard tier. Evertune's landing page credits Profound with "~9K responses/month at standard tier". Profound's pricing page lists Trial and custom Enterprise for brands, with no standard tier.

Most published comparisons of these two platforms come from a company with a stake in the outcome. Both vendor pages may have been accurate when written, and plans change quickly, so confirm current plan details on each pricing page and treat any vendor's comparison, including this one, as a list of questions to confirm in a demo.

A side-by-side evaluation plan

  1. Write your prompts first. List 20 to 50 questions real buyers ask, grouped by product and persona, and keep the exact text outside both tools.
  2. Ask both vendors for a topic sample. Request the panel topics and volumes they would build for your category, and compare them with your list.
  3. Fix the engines and the layer. Compare ChatGPT and Gemini, which both cover, and ask Evertune to show its consumer-app and base-model scores separately.
  4. Test variance. Ask each vendor to rerun five of your prompts and show how much the result moves between runs.
  5. Save evidence. Screenshot five full answers with cited URLs from each tool.
  6. Check activation. If you buy media, ask Evertune to show an Ads Agent plan for one weak topic. If you run an organic program, ask Profound to show one Aim project end to end.
  7. Ask the same questions of both. Price for your prompt count and samples, engines in your contract, history, exports and API, SOC 2 status, and who reviews agent output before it publishes.

The guide on how to choose an AI visibility tool explains each evaluation axis in more depth.

Who each platform fits

Profound is a likely fit for:

  • Enterprise brands and large agencies that want tracking, prompt research, AI traffic analytics and agents in one contract.
  • Regulated teams that need SOC 2 Type II and SSO now.
  • Teams that need live-app answers, with citations, on Claude, DeepSeek or Exa Search.

Evertune is a likely fit for:

  • Consumer brands with large audiences, where panel topics have plenty of data behind them.
  • Advertisers that want to connect visibility gaps to ChatGPT ads, retargeting and affiliate partners.
  • Teams that want a published monthly price, repeat sampling and a base-model view of their brand.

Weaker fit for either: teams that only need saved answer evidence for a small set of buyer questions and do not plan to use agents, ads or traffic analytics. For a wider shortlist, see our guide to AI visibility tools for B2B companies, or the AI visibility tools comparison of Profound, Peec AI and Otterly.AI.

Where Prime AI Visibility fits

Prime AI Visibility is an AI visibility tracker for teams that want to run a smaller set of saved buyer questions across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and an AI Overview-style preview, then read every saved answer with the brands named and the links shown. It reports Brand named, Website cited, Source links and Explicit recommendation, each defined on the metrics page.

The Prime AI Visibility features include an AI Search Predictor that finds questions worth pursuing and a Content Studio that drafts source-enriched pages as files, with nothing published without approval. Flash is free each month for five questions across ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity, with up to 15 answers and no card. Starter is $69 a month for all five, and the pricing page lists every plan.

Limitations: Prime AI Visibility does not report sentiment, rank, AI crawler visits, traffic or conversions, so referral and conversion data must come from your analytics. It has no consumer panel or prompt-volume data and no advertising tools. It checks monthly by default, with weekly, temporary daily and on-demand checks on paid plans, and does not track Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Meta AI or Google AI Mode.

When the next job is implementation

An AI visibility tool, whether Profound, Evertune or another, shows where a brand stands and suggests fixes. Earning coverage on the publications, forums and review sites that answers cite is still work for people. As an AI Visibility Platform for in-house teams, Prime AI Visibility stops at measurement, recommendations and draft files.

If you want a partner to do that work, Percepture, founded in 2004 and Inc. 5000-recognized, offers generative engine optimization services within its wider digital marketing and PR services. Fit: a team that wants SEO, GEO, digital PR and content work aimed at the sources AI answers cite, done by people. Limitation: Percepture is a services firm, not a tracking platform, so it pairs with a tool rather than replacing one. Prime AI Visibility has a commercial relationship with Percepture.

Teams with a large content backlog can also look at Pyra's AI agents for marketing and sales, which include human-approved content operations agents. Pyra's AI visibility case study describes an anonymized digital-infrastructure company with more than 35 years in business and reports a 3,000% increase in AI and LLM visibility signals. That is Pyra's published client result, not a benchmark to expect.

Whichever you choose, an AI Search Visibility Platform or an AI Brand Visibility Tool is only useful if it keeps the same questions from one month to the next, so changes are comparable.

Frequently asked questions

Which is better for GEO, Profound or Evertune?

Neither is better for every team. Profound suits enterprise teams that want daily live-app tracking on up to nine engines, AI traffic analytics, agents and SOC 2 Type II today. Evertune suits consumer brands and advertisers that want repeat sampling, base-model measurement, automatic category tracking and paid activation through ChatGPT ads and affiliate partners.

How much do Profound and Evertune cost?

Profound lists a free seven-day trial and custom-priced Enterprise packages. Evertune lists a Pro plan at $800 a month, with 100,000 prompts tracked across 11 AI models and 25 AI-optimized articles a month, and a custom-priced Enterprise plan.

What is the difference between Evertune's API data and Profound's front-end data?

Profound captures answers from the live consumer apps, which include web search and citations. Evertune captures live apps for some engines and also queries base models through their APIs, which shows what a model says before it searches. Evertune measures Claude, Meta AI and DeepSeek through the API only.

Why does Evertune sample each prompt up to 100 times?

AI answers vary between runs, so a single answer can overstate or understate visibility. Evertune says repeated sampling narrows the margin of error, especially for topic-level scores. Ask any vendor how many samples sit behind a score and how it shows run-to-run variance.

Do Profound and Evertune track AI crawler traffic?

Profound's Agent Analytics tracks AI crawler visits and AI-referred traffic through CDN, hosting and analytics integrations. Evertune lists AI bot analytics on its Enterprise plan.

Are the vendors' own comparison pages reliable?

Treat them as starting points. Several claims match the rival's own pages, but Evertune's landing page credits Profound with a standard tier its pricing page does not list, and the two companies give different totals for Evertune's funding.
