Wordnerds.ai Product Features and Analytics: What It Does and Where It Fits in 2026

If you searched "wordnerds.ai product features analytics", the short answer is that Wordnerds is a UK customer-feedback analytics platform, not an AI visibility tool. It sorts surveys, complaints, calls and reviews into auditable themes and delivers them in Microsoft Power BI, from £26,400 a year. Its published pages describe feedback analysis, not tracking what ChatGPT or Perplexity say about a brand.

This page draws on Wordnerds' own product, pricing, about and blog pages, the Wordnerds machine-readable site summary and Profound's product blog, with prices and features as published in October 2026. It is a comparison of public specifications, not a hands-on test. Prime AI Visibility publishes this site, tracks AI answers rather than customer feedback, and is held to the same checks later on.

Wordnerds.ai product features analytics: the short answer

  • What it is. A Voice of Customer (VoC) platform from a Newcastle company. It ingests surveys, complaints, contact-centre calls, reviews, social posts and in-product feedback, then classifies every comment against a taxonomy that Wordnerds analysts help you write.
  • Where the output goes. Themes, drivers and priorities are pushed into Microsoft Power BI, with a plain-language chat layer for people who do not open dashboards.
  • Analytics. Four techniques are named on the home page: driver analysis, journey analysis, segmentation and sector benchmarking.
  • Price. Published, set by feedback volume rather than seats: Starter £26,400 a year for 25,000 items, Pro £43,200 for 150,000, and Enterprise from £49,800 for unlimited items, all ex VAT.
  • What it is not. Wordnerds' product, pricing and about pages do not list tracking of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity answers, citations or AI referral traffic. That is a different product category.
  • Who it fits. Insight, CX and compliance teams in UK regulated sectors with large volumes of open-text feedback. If your question is "what do AI answers say about us?", you want a different tool or one alongside it.

If the category is new to you, start with our explainer on what these tools measure, then return here.

Who Wordnerds is

Wordnerds says it began with a December 2015 challenge from Nissan: out of thousands of tweets an hour, spot the one or two that hinted at a production-line fault. Founder Pete Daykin and linguist Steve Erdal built a rules-based solution, and Wordnerds was incorporated as a company in 2017. In August 2024 the company says it closed a £1.6 million funding round. Its About page lists a team of 23 across data science, engineering, product, insight, customer success and operations.

Its customers are UK organisations in housing, transport, financial services, utilities and retail. The home page shows logos including Sainsbury's, Lloyds Banking Group, Transport for Wales, Sovereign Network Group and The Guinness Partnership, and the site hosts customer stories for Avanti West Coast and others. Savings figures on those pages are Wordnerds' own claims about its customers.

Wordnerds features, step by step

Wordnerds describes a five-step pipeline: unstructured feedback becomes structured classification, then a semantic model, then two outputs, one for analysts and one for AI agents and chat. Seen as features, it looks like this.

Feedback sources. Surveys, complaints, contact-centre calls, reviews, social and in-product feedback, loaded through CSV or API integrations. The Enterprise plan adds CRM and contact-centre data sources and long-form response analysis.

Definition-led themes. Analysts at Wordnerds author and ratify a taxonomy with you, and the models apply it. On its method page the company says a large language model defines what each theme means on a roughly 1% sample, and a lightweight custom model then classifies the rest. It says every theme traces back to the source comment. In our judgement this is the feature that defines the product: a stable, owned taxonomy so counts stay comparable from one quarter to the next.

Sector frameworks. Pre-built frameworks for UK regulated reporting, including housing Tenant Satisfaction Measures, Awaab's Law, FCA Consumer Duty and ORR reporting.

Power BI delivery. Themes, drivers and priorities sit inside your own Power BI environment, with industry-specific dashboards in every plan. The site's screenshots also show a chat panel inside Power BI answering plain-language questions about the feedback, which is the surface it describes for decision-makers who do not use dashboards.

People alongside the software. Every plan includes managed setup, three training sessions and a dedicated UK customer success manager. A separate consultancy covers survey design, root-cause analysis, segmentation, behavioural science, predictive modelling and bespoke projects, with or without the platform. Wordnerds says most teams are live in two to three weeks.

Wordnerds analytics: the four techniques

The home page names four techniques that turn themes into decisions.

  1. Driver analysis: which themes are moving NPS, CSAT and complaint volume, and which only feel important.
  2. Journey analysis: where in the customer journey the experience breaks down, stage by stage.
  3. Segmentation: which audiences need different responses, using definition-led and statistically robust groups rather than demographic guesses.
  4. Sector benchmarking: how your scores and themes compare with peers, using what Wordnerds calls its cross-customer dataset.

Two things follow from this list. First, the unit of analysis is a customer comment, scored against your own taxonomy, and the metrics are customer-experience measures such as NPS and CSAT. Second, benchmarking compares you with other Wordnerds customers in regulated sectors, not with competitors in an answer engine.

Compare that with the analytics an AI visibility vendor ships. Profound's product blog for September 2026 lists, among other items, Citation Decay on September 29 (week-over-week citation counts for every cited URL), a refreshed Answer Engine Insights on September 21, Command Center on September 14 (how a team uses marketing agents and the hours returned), and image generation for its AI Marketer on September 24. The unit there is an AI answer: was a brand named, which URLs were cited, how often.

Wordnerds pricing

Wordnerds publishes prices in pounds, billed annually, excluding VAT, and says pricing scales with how much feedback you analyse, not how many people log in. Every plan includes setup, training, a UK success manager and Power BI dashboards.

Plan Items a year Price a year
Starter 25,000 £26,400
Pro 150,000 £43,200
Enterprise Unlimited From £49,800

Starter is for a single channel such as surveys, Pro adds multi-channel programmes and two custom dashboard pages, and Enterprise adds fully customised dashboards, CRM and contact-centre sources and long-form response analysis.

Proof of concept. A VoC Benchmark starts at £5,775 one-off for up to 25,000 items from one year, and a VoC Deep Dive at £9,600 for up to 500,000 items with three custom views. Both take about 30 days, include a recommendations report and a stakeholder workshop, and Wordnerds says you keep the output whether or not you subscribe. Bespoke projects are priced on request.

What the list prices work out to. Dividing a plan's price by its item limit gives £1.06 an item on Starter (26,400 ÷ 25,000) and £0.29 on Pro (43,200 ÷ 150,000), if you use every item. That is arithmetic on published figures, not a quote, and it excludes VAT. Wordnerds says it will discuss a move to the next tier rather than cut you off if you exceed your limit, so confirm how overage works in writing.

Wordnerds also publishes a machine-readable pricing page addressed to AI assistants. That makes its prices easy for assistants to read, but it does not make Wordnerds an AI visibility product.

What Wordnerds does not cover: AI answers

A reader researching "wordnerds.ai product features analytics" could assume a text-analytics company also tells you how AI engines describe a brand. Wordnerds' published pages do not say that. They list customer feedback sources, and AI answers are not among them. Wordnerds' own site frames general-purpose AI such as ChatGPT and Copilot as alternatives to its analysis, not as a place to measure.

That does not make the two categories rivals. A feedback layer tells you what customers say about your service, and an answer-tracking tool tells you what engines say about your brand to buyers who have not met you yet. A brand needs one, the other or both depending on the question.

You need to know Look at Example
What customers complain about Feedback analytics Wordnerds
Why NPS moved Feedback analytics Wordnerds
Whether answers name you Answer tracking Prime AI, Profound
Which sources answers cite Answer tracking Prime AI, Profound
Whether AI sends visits Web analytics Your own analytics
Who writes the fix People Agency or your team

In our judgement the sharpest buying mistake in this space is choosing a tool by its label. "Sentiment" in a feedback platform is about what customers wrote to you or about you; "sentiment" in an answer tracker is about how an answer describes you. They are different measurements even when both are called sentiment.

The five AI visibility signals, and where each is measured

Mention, citation, recommendation, referral and conversion move independently, so it helps to see which category measures which.

Signal Wordnerds Answer trackers
Mention Not listed Yes
Citation Not listed Yes
Recommend Not listed Varies
Referral Not listed Some
Conversion Not listed Few
  1. Mention (the answer names the brand): measured by answer trackers. Prime AI reports it as Brand named.
  2. Citation (the answer links your site or a source about you): measured by answer trackers. Prime AI reports Website cited and Source links.
  3. Recommendation (the answer suggests you over others): Prime AI reports Explicit recommendation, and Profound lists sentiment. Neither is a feedback metric.
  4. Referral (someone clicks through): comes from web analytics or an answer vendor's traffic add-on, such as Profound's Agent Analytics.
  5. Conversion (the visit becomes a lead or sale): comes from your CRM and analytics. Neither category replaces it.

Prime AI Visibility records the first three on saved answers, and each measure is defined on the metrics page. It does not report referral or conversion.

A test protocol that connects feedback themes to AI answers

This is an original method rather than a product feature. If you already have a feedback layer, use its themes to decide which AI questions to check. In our judgement this is the cheapest way to test whether the story customers tell you is the story engines tell buyers.

  1. Pull five themes. Take the top three complaint themes and top two praise themes from your feedback analysis, with the wording customers actually use.
  2. Write one buyer question per theme. Phrase each as a prospect would, for example "is [your category] reliable for [use case]?" Add one neutral version that does not name your brand.
  3. Fix the inputs. Choose the engines, country and language once and keep them fixed.
  4. Run each question once per engine. Save the full answer and the links it showed. Prime AI Visibility's features include saved answers with the brands named and links shown, and a free Flash check covers five questions.
  5. Score the signals separately. Record mention, citation and recommendation on each answer. Take referral and conversion from analytics, never from the answer text.
  6. Compare with the theme. Does the answer repeat the complaint, ignore it or contradict it? Open the cited pages: a contradiction often comes from an old review or forum thread, not from your own site.
  7. Repeat on a schedule. Changes are comparable only if the questions, engines and market stay the same. The AI visibility strategy guide covers cadence and priorities.

An answer that matches your feedback themes is a data point, not proof that feedback caused the answer. We cannot say why an engine wrote what it wrote.

Wordnerds and Prime AI Visibility on the same checks

The table applies the same check to both products using each company's public pages. Wordnerds prices are in pounds and Prime AI prices are in dollars, so they are not converted.

Notes: Prime AI's five engines are ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and an AI Overview-style preview built from Google-grounded answers, not a capture of the live AI Overview panel. Flash is free each month for five questions across ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity, with up to 15 answers and no card. Starter at $69 a month covers all five. Wordnerds' sentiment is analysis of what customers wrote; Prime AI Visibility does not report sentiment.

Methodology note: both columns describe what each company publishes, not measured accuracy or results. Affiliation: Prime AI Visibility is our own product, it appears here because readers searching for Wordnerds often compare analytics vendors, and it carries its limitations below. For tools that do compete on AI answers, see our AI visibility tools comparison and our Profound review.

Who Wordnerds fits, and who it may not

Wordnerds is a likely fit for:

  • CX and insight teams in UK housing, transport, financial services, utilities or retail with large volumes of open-text feedback.
  • Teams that must show a regulator or board how a theme was reached, and want a taxonomy they own.
  • Organisations already standardised on Microsoft Power BI that want insight there rather than in another login.

Wordnerds may be a weaker fit for:

  • Small teams or low feedback volumes, where a £26,400 annual entry price is large against the data analysed.
  • Teams that want to see how ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity describe their brand. The pages read for this comparison do not list that capability.
  • Buyers outside the sectors and geography it describes, who should ask whether the sector frameworks apply.

For a wider shortlist of tools that track AI answers, see our guide to AI visibility tools for B2B companies, and our guide on how to choose an AI visibility tool. If you are still deciding what the discipline covers, read what AI search visibility means before you buy anything.

Where Prime AI Visibility fits

Prime AI Visibility is an AI visibility tracker for teams that want to run a smaller set of saved buyer questions across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and an AI Overview-style preview, then read every saved answer with the brands named and the links shown. It reports Brand named, Website cited, Source links and Explicit recommendation.

The Prime AI Visibility features include an AI Search Predictor that finds questions worth pursuing and a Content Studio that drafts source-enriched pages as files, with nothing published without approval. The pricing page lists every plan. For a first run, the AI visibility audit guide shows how to build the question set.

Limitations: Prime AI does not analyse customer feedback, survey text or calls, and does not report sentiment, rank, AI crawler visits, traffic or conversions, so referral and conversion data must come from your analytics. It has no prompt-volume data, no auto-publishing and no ad tracking. It checks monthly by default, with weekly, temporary daily and on-demand checks on paid plans, and does not track Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI or Google AI Mode. PyraBuilds' Prime AI agent profile describes the product in Pyra's agent catalogue.

When the next job is implementation

A feedback layer or an answer tracker shows where you stand. Fixing it is work for people: earning coverage on the publications, forums and review sites that answers cite, and fixing technical problems across a site.

If you want a partner for that work, Percepture, founded in 2004 and Inc. 5000-recognized, offers generative engine optimization services, digital PR and, for site-wide technical work, enterprise SEO services. Fit: a team that wants SEO, GEO, digital PR and content aimed at the sources AI answers cite, done by people. Limitation: Percepture is a services firm, not a tracking platform, so it pairs with a tool rather than replacing one. Prime AI has a commercial relationship with Percepture.

Teams that want to run repeatable workflows outside a dashboard can also look at Pyra's AI agents for marketing and sales, which include human-approved content operations agents. Pyra is also commercially connected to Prime AI.

Frequently asked questions

What are the main wordnerds.ai product features and analytics?

Wordnerds classifies surveys, complaints, calls, reviews and social feedback against an analyst-authored taxonomy and delivers the themes to Microsoft Power BI. Its named analytics are driver analysis, journey analysis, segmentation and sector benchmarking, with sector frameworks for UK housing, transport and financial services.

How much does Wordnerds cost?

Wordnerds publishes Starter at £26,400 a year for 25,000 feedback items, Pro at £43,200 for 150,000 and Enterprise from £49,800 for unlimited items, all excluding VAT. A proof of concept starts at £5,775 one-off and takes about 30 days.

Is Wordnerds an AI visibility tool?

No. Wordnerds' published pages describe customer feedback analysis, not tracking how ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity answer questions about a brand. A tool that tracks answers records mentions, citations and recommendations, which Wordnerds does not list.

Can Wordnerds replace a tool that tracks AI answers?

Not on the information published. The two answer different questions: what customers say to you, and what answer engines say to buyers. Many teams would use a feedback layer for the first and an answer tracker for the second.

Does Wordnerds work with Microsoft Power BI?

Yes. Delivery in Power BI is its central design: themes, drivers and priorities are pushed into your own Power BI environment, and the site shows a chat panel there for plain-language questions. It also lists CSV and API integrations.

Can I use feedback themes to choose AI questions to check?

Yes. Turn your top complaint and praise themes into buyer questions, run them on fixed engines and markets, and record mention, citation and recommendation separately, as in the test protocol above. Treat matches as observations, not proof of cause.
