AI Search Analytics Tools Under $100 a Month: What Each Price Buys in 2026

AI search analytics tools under $100 a month exist, but the price ceiling decides how many questions you can track, on how many engines and how often. Published monthly list prices in October 2026 include Otterly's Lite at $29, Prime AI's Starter at $69, Peec AI's Starter at $95 and Rankscale's Pro at $99. Scrunch's Core plan starts at $250.

This guide compares those published plans, not hands-on test results. Prime AI Visibility publishes this site, so it appears below under the same checks as the others, with its limitations. Prices are USD list prices excluding tax, as each vendor listed them in October 2026, and they change.

AI search analytics tools under $100: the short answer

  • The ceiling is a capacity limit. Under $100, every plan caps something: questions, engines, saved answers or checks. Pick the cap that hurts you least.
  • Count your questions first. Twenty buyer questions fit three of the four plans below. Forty fit only two of them, Peec AI at $95 and Rankscale at $99.
  • Cheapest is not widest. Otterly's $29 Lite plan tracks 15 questions. Rankscale's $99 Pro lists the widest engine set. Prime AI's $69 Starter lists the most engines among the plans with a fixed question limit.
  • Free is a real starting point. Prime AI's Flash plan and several seven-day trials cost nothing, which is enough to learn your question set before you pay.
  • No plan under $100 does the work for you. These products observe answers. Fixing a gap still takes people and pages.

What the price ceiling actually limits

Vendors sell the same thing in different units, which is why a $29 plan and a $99 plan are hard to compare by sticker price. Each plan caps one or more of the following.

  1. Questions or prompts. How many buyer questions you can save and re-run.
  2. Engines. Which AI products those questions are asked on, and whether you choose them.
  3. Checks. How often each question is re-run: daily, weekly or monthly.
  4. Credits or answers. A pooled allowance that every question, engine and check draws from.
  5. Seats and brands. How many people and how many companies you can track.

Treat the cheapest plan as a trial of the method, not a finished programme. A tool that tracks 15 questions can show you whether answers name you; it cannot show how that changes across a long buyer journey.

Published plans under $100, side by side

All figures come from each vendor's public pricing page in October 2026.

Plan Monthly price What it caps
Otterly Lite $29 15 questions
Prime AI Starter $69 25 saved questions
Peec AI Starter $95 50 prompts
Rankscale Pro $99 1,200 credits

Otterly bills Lite at $25 a month on annual terms. Rankscale lists a 15% annual saving. The table uses the monthly price for every plan so the rows compare like for like.

Otterly Lite

Otterly lists Lite at $29 a month for 15 search prompts, covering ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. Its pricing page also lists Google AI Mode as an add-on, at $9 a month on Lite. Adding 100 more prompts costs $99, so growing past 15 questions moves you to the $189 Standard plan quickly. Otterly's help centre lists a seven-day trial without a card.

Prime AI Starter

Starter is $69 a month with up to 25 saved questions and 200 shared monthly credits. It covers five tools: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and an AI Overview-style preview built from Google-grounded answers, which is not a capture of the live AI Overview panel. Checks run monthly by default, with weekly, temporary daily and on-demand checks on paid plans. Flash, the free plan, runs five questions across ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity once a month, with up to 15 answers and no card.

Peec AI Starter

Peec lists Starter at $95 a month, with 50 prompts, a choice of three models, unlimited users, daily tracking and one project. Peec defines its monthly answer count as prompts multiplied by models and by frequency, so on published figures a full Starter plan is up to 50 × 3 × 30, or 4,500 answers a month if every prompt runs daily on three models. That is arithmetic on Peec's own definition, not a measured number.

Rankscale Pro

Rankscale lists Pro at $99 a month with 1,200 credits and a 7-day free trial. Its page says each engine query typically uses 0.25 credits, which is how it arrives at up to 4,800 tracked answers a month. Pro lists ten brand dashboards and 50 page audits a month, and the page names ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews and Gemini, DeepSeek, Mistral, Claude and Microsoft Copilot among its engines. Because the unit is a credit pool, you decide how to spend it across questions, engines and checks.

Just over the line: Scrunch Core

Scrunch's Core plan is $250 a month for 125 unique prompts and 5,000 responses a month on four models, with a seven-day free trial. It sits above this guide's ceiling, so it appears only to show what the next step up lists. Profound does not publish a monthly price for its paid plans; its pricing page offers a trial of 50 prompts run daily for seven days on three engines.

A capacity check you can run in ten minutes

This is the original method in this guide. Plans cap different units, so a price comparison hides which plans can hold your work. Run this check before you open a pricing page.

  1. List your buyer questions. Write them as a buyer would type them. A first programme is often 15 to 25.
  2. Choose your engines. Pick the engines your buyers use and keep the list fixed.
  3. Choose a check rhythm. Weekly is enough for most teams starting out.
  4. Work out answers a month. Questions × engines × checks. Twenty questions on three engines checked weekly is 20 × 3 × 4, or 240 answers a month.
  5. Compare against each plan in its own unit. Do not convert units across vendors. Ask only whether your list fits inside that plan's published cap.
  6. Test the next size up. Repeat with 40 questions so you know where each plan runs out.

Here is the result for two sample workloads, using each vendor's published limits.

Plan 20 questions 40 questions
Otterly Lite No, 15 cap No, 15 cap
Prime AI Starter Yes, 25 cap No, 25 cap
Peec AI Starter Yes, 50 cap Yes, 50 cap
Rankscale Pro Yes Yes

Rankscale's row rests on its credit rule. At 0.25 credits per engine query, the 240 answers in step four use about 60 of 1,200 credits, and 40 questions on the same terms use about 120. Prime AI's row rests on its 25-question limit. Its credits are shared across checks, so confirm in the free check how many your question set uses.

In our judgement, the most useful result is the "No" cells. A plan that cannot hold your question list will push you to the next tier within weeks, so judge it at that price, not the entry price.

What a cap leaves out

A cap shows up in the data in three ways. These limits apply to every product above, not to one vendor.

  • Fewer questions mean more noise. One answer that changes between runs can move a small question set a long way. Keep the question set fixed and compare like with like over time.
  • Monthly checks hide movement. Answers change when models and the web change. Daily or weekly checks show it; a monthly check can miss it.
  • Engine choice is a decision. Where a plan lets you choose three of many, you decide which buyers go unmeasured.

None of these plans can tell you why an engine wrote what it wrote. The engines do not publish how they choose answers or sources, so every tool records what an answer displayed and nothing more.

The five signals, tracked separately

A budget plan rarely measures all five of these, and each one answers a different question.

  1. Mention. The answer names your brand. Prime AI reports this as Brand named.
  2. Citation. The answer links to your site or to a source about you. Prime AI reports Website cited and Source links.
  3. Recommendation. The answer suggests you over other options. Prime AI reports Explicit recommendation.
  4. Referral. A person clicks through from an answer. Take this from your own web analytics, not from the answer text.
  5. Conversion. The visit becomes a lead or sale. This comes from your CRM and analytics.

The first three come from reading answers, so they are what an analytics tool under $100 can record. Referral and conversion come from your own systems. Prime AI Visibility defines each measure on its metrics page. Check that any plan you consider defines its own measures in writing, as in our guide on how to choose an AI visibility tool.

Where Prime AI fits, and where it does not

Affiliation: Prime AI Visibility is our own product and is evaluated here on the same published-limit checks as the others.

Starter is a fit if you want a small, fixed set of saved buyer questions, five tools including Claude and Gemini, and every answer saved with the brands named and the links shown. Prime AI Visibility's features also include an AI Search Predictor that finds questions worth pursuing and a Content Studio that drafts pages as files, with nothing published without approval.

Limitations: Starter has up to 25 saved questions, so a larger question set needs a higher plan. Checks run monthly by default, with weekly, temporary daily and on-demand checks on paid plans. It does not report sentiment, rank, AI crawler visits, traffic or conversions, and it does not track Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI or Google AI Mode. It has no prompt-volume data and no auto-publishing. The pricing page lists every plan, and PyraBuilds' Prime AI agent profile describes the product in Pyra's agent catalogue.

Who each plan fits

  • A first test, one brand, 15 questions: Otterly Lite is the lowest published price. Add AI Mode only if your buyers use it.
  • Saved evidence and five tools, 25 questions: Prime AI Starter.
  • Daily tracking and a wider question list: Peec AI Starter at $95, with three models chosen from its list.
  • The widest engine list and room to move: Rankscale Pro at $99, where you manage the credit pool.
  • A tight budget: start on a free check, then pay when the saved answers show a question set worth re-running. Our guide on tracking manually versus with a tool covers the spreadsheet route.

When the next job is implementation

A tracker shows where you stand. Fixing it is work for people: earning coverage on the publications, forums and review sites that answers cite, and fixing technical problems on your site.

If you want a partner for that work, Percepture, founded in 2004 and Inc. 5000-recognized, offers generative engine optimization services. Fit: a team that wants GEO, SEO and content aimed at the sources AI answers cite, done by people. Limitation: Percepture is a services firm, not a tracking platform, so it pairs with a tool rather than replacing one. Prime AI has a commercial relationship with Percepture.

Teams that want repeatable workflows outside a dashboard can also look at Pyra's AI agents for marketing and sales, which include human-approved content operations agents. Pyra's AI visibility case study describes an anonymized digital-infrastructure company with more than 35 years in business and reports a 3,000% increase in AI and LLM visibility signals. That is Pyra's published client result, not a benchmark to expect. Pyra is also commercially connected to Prime AI.

Frequently asked questions

What are the best AI search analytics tools under $100 a month?

On published list prices, four plans sit under $100: Otterly Lite at $29, Prime AI Starter at $69, Peec AI Starter at $95 and Rankscale Pro at $99. Which is best depends on your question count, the engines you need and how often you want checks.

Is there a free AI search analytics tool?

Prime AI's Flash plan is free once a month for five questions across ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity, with up to 15 answers and no card. Otterly, Rankscale and Scrunch list seven-day trials. A free check is enough to learn what your question set returns.

How many questions can I track for under $100?

It depends on the plan: 15 on Otterly Lite, 25 saved on Prime AI Starter, 50 on Peec AI Starter. Rankscale Pro sells a credit pool instead, so the count depends on how many engines and checks you use.

Do cheap plans track ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude?

Engines differ by plan. Otterly Lite lists ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot. Prime AI Starter lists ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and an AI Overview-style preview. Peec Starter lets you choose three models. Rankscale lists several, including Claude and Gemini.

Can I replace a $300 plan with one under $100?

Only if your work fits the lower cap. Use the capacity check above: if your question list or check rhythm does not fit, the cheaper plan will cost you data, not just features.

Do these tools show how much traffic AI sends me?

Not reliably from the answer itself. Referral and conversion belong in your analytics, and a tracker records what answers show, not why they were written.
